Become part of the 2019/2020 Student Board

Are you thinking of doing a full time board year in 2019/2020? Then StartHub is looking for you! There are four available positions,  specified below.

What you’ll get:
  • An amazing year with 3 colleagues

  • Tuesday the 19th of March: Board information presentation @ The Spot, Orion, 17:30-19:30
  • Wednesday the 27th of March: Interest Drink @ StartHub, 17.00-19.00
  • Tuesday the 9th of April: Information Stand @ Forum Ground Floor during lunch
  • Sunday the 14th of April: Deadline letter of motivation & CV


You are responsible for the contact with important stakeholders on and around campus. As the chair of the board it is also your job to manage the board and work with/on StartHub’s strategy. Moreover you are responsible for the financial strategy of the board and therefore act as the treasurer.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • Networking

    You need to have good social skills and know what to get from conversations to develop professional connections.

  • Leadership

    Leading the board through a successful year means that you need to both interpret different opninions in the team and make important decisions.

  • Strategic Thinking

    You have to be able to work with StartHubs strategy, explain it to others, and amend it when necessary.

  • Representative

    Towards important stakeholders on campus and delegations you are the face of the organisation.

Business Affairs

The contact with our external network (partners, experts and other incubators) is the domain of the Business Affairs. Your job is to maintain these contacts and create new ones. Also you guide students with their startups and direct them towards relevant experts and trainings.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • Networking

  • Affinity with Business

    You are interested in helping people with their business (idea) by offering them the proper tools and what they need to progress.

  • Representative

    Towards the external network of StartHub and new connections you are the face of the organisation.

  • Matchmaking

    Being able to help start-ups with their problems by linking them to relevant actors within our network.

Community & Communication Manager

The community & communication manager is the one responsible for keeping StartHub’s community of start-ups and students connected, by communicating to them and with them. Also you are responsible for the facilities at StartHub and how they are utilised and decorated.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • People skills

    You have to maintain good relationships with almost everyone in the community, to be their first contactpoint.

  • Communication

    You know how to communicate and write in a clear and attractive way.

  • Creativivity

    You are in charge of the visual content at StartHub and will show our community and other students/relevant parties what it is that happens at StartHub.

  • Precision

    You are also responsible for what happens in the building. You write contracts and organize facility management.

Events Coordinator

The events coordinator is responsible for creating, organising and evaluating a diverse set of events. To succeed you must be able to read your audience, cooperate in a team and maintain relationships with different organisations & guest speakers.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • Planning

    In order for events to be a success a clear and detailed schedule needs to be made and followed.

  • Creativity

    Creativity and improvisation skills are needed during big events to cope with unexpected set-backs under pressure.

  • Teamwork

    Running events is a team effort, therefore it is essential to be able to think and work together with your teammates.

  • Communication

    As you are the contact person for both guests and co-organizers, you must be able to communicate effectively and maintain lasting relationships.
