Value creation wur.png

StartHub is part of Wageningen University & Research and operates under the pillar of Corporate Value Creation.

Research results only have an effect when they are applied within society. StartHub stimulates this by stimulating entrepreneurial skills development amongst students, the researchers of the future, and by supporting sustainable entrepreneurs pursuing a venture within the WUR domain using either knowledge or a technology generated at WUR. We can only do this by closely collaborating with many parties!

If you are in need of help, support or contacts at any of the organisations mentioned below, reach out to us! We are happy to help.

Ip servicedesk

The Intellectual Property (IP) Servicedesk formulates and submits patent applications and maintains the patent portfolio and brands. They are jointly responsible for managing and making WUR technologies externally applicable. The desk leads the establishment and management of patents and supports their marketing, provides advice, information and business development support in the field of licenses, including software and trademark / model registration. For startups that develop a new technology or product, the IP Servicedesk is highly important since they can give you advice and share their expertise to stop others from making, using or selling the technology without your permission.

Knowledge transfer Office (KTO)

The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) is part of Corporate Value Creation (CVC) at WUR. They scout for innovative ideas / technologies that germinate within WUR. This takes place via direct interactions with professors, researchers, PhDs and students sharing their research ideas often at an early stage. By identifying the ideas at an early stage, their goal is to successfully support the scientists in the road map towards value creation (knowledge transfer process).
